Can someone tell me how to protect our wireless (home) LAN from unauthorised 'neighbours'. I've D-Link router.

I have installed D-Link router on my Windows XP desktop machine to set up a wireless LAN. It seems our neighbours are also using this connection to access internet from their laptop. How to avoid? Pl help me. I am totally ignorant about computers.
