Ideal small breed for lapdog?

The dachsund is a great little dog.. so is the Italian greyhound. From my experience neither are real barkers which is a bonus. nor is house training if you are vigilant and sensible about a dogs needs. As someone who prefers larger dogs these are the two that I would look at. Every Pom and Chihuhua I have known have been awful snappy yappy dogs...
